Had an awesome day out on a couple of my favorite ponds. In the first pond I launched my boat and used buzzbaits, chatterbaits, and senkos. For most of the day I fished in that pond I think I caught 22 bass all between 1.5 and 3.0 pounds. Then I decided to tie my boat up and walk to another pond. When i got to the other pond to my surprise it was flooded about 5 feet over full pool. I ended up catching 12 in that pond all around 2 pounds but I did catch two that were pushing 4 pounds! So all together ths was a great day on the water.Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-12421897770345568982011-03-28T11:51:00.000-07:002011-03-28T11:56:14.301-07:00Ten mile 3-27-11<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUXkWcO260jGcSbHLQkk2YzpkD1kXcYybl6cZYRdUvb2Zg7nR1p6ht2cuL3_QK06eQ1mlShYA2KXq4i4q5nOGu35MhuQYVKPwxRhCAfXx9gmCYV_vFC70K4QqAroJ13a5ing4MnEynpGyn/s320/ten+mile+15.8+pounds.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589206536447976930" />
This past weekend my Dad and I caught 15.8 pounds of largemouth out of one of our popular coastal lakes. We had a tournament and the weight behind us was 8 and a half pounds. We caught our fish on jigs, punch rigs, and senkos. The 15.8 pounds only consisted of 4 bass our biggest was just under five pounds and and we had one other over four pounds. Great job Dad! This includes two tournament wins and other good finishes. This trip which started 1-15-11 and went to the 16th was the worst trip i have ever had down there. I fished about 14 hours in the two days and i managed to get 3 bites and all of them were short strikes that just grabbed the back of my worm. My Dad was fishing with me and he only managed 3 bites also and his were the same just short strikes. Our only excitement of the trip was seeing a spot follow up my dad's dropshot rig. Dang i don't know what the deal is but that lake is tough!! Hopefully it gets better soon, thats really all i have to say about shasta right now...

JacobJacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-69098225453754914152010-12-28T12:58:00.000-08:002010-12-28T13:03:07.554-08:00couple more custom painted baits<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqL80MDRWihiUTtdnKQtCi-vGHhyZQTYY6zGUqfPiflAXmnkw2fvMDfWjqcbf1sSzCg697i502gKDGJl7ouE6JSR9es9ow6XbKwfm0K4dNn9YmqYElc1YBe0V2gNaFenNJ_5iWBYYX4z2m/s320/P1010067.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555841614080940386" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijfO2iznYOCs4R_Uzqzsd82MJ1bZFWdnuBXka0Rg3BlEZ7t9acIeuQBExRDy3ST7sJfXX3nQNtPPhBwB6_O07smt2kCZviCo3ydZwU1-2smbCh2ZZkVSYIlCEJ7OokVlxYSIRFjBAlEd7X/s320/P1010066.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555841608698896114" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqhzRNQLP2pNmOL3yi7OQGWK4qm-aZYlqasTYT2JM9tEGBo1c5TSN7JCilooj8-inxIL779vOx9SHEtowx7S-MYy2LwPwu_QhGdaZSn3Ltrs9H_jy_vvIb9O1jxs_be1ODfkpAaMgQQlLR/s320/P1010065.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555841604393071746" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyR0ZVSJn79T-U09xkIH6c7_8awgMW_5djF50kqHY49eevz0tDMw2RR07YTYNrIX_qIRqF8q_Wxjs8OUvcD73fOVbsqE3n5iA_vyajJD7rXVyui3BChvNP2TY63S_MsTzZ83wNq8HZYAU7/s320/P1010064.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555841597709055058" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho2F-VboUANTHfkmX8a1BA9HrLnSpqUs3Zqa8zY17EIRfR38Ud5lvWt90JzqcmzdiBUJHf3LrmuxBfG0QOwR591GJSpNO0OT4LdgOdmIcYDcE2gm_ETNNHV9aUITBUipe_uuAypSEfVBW2/s320/P1010063.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555841593663857682" />
Here are a few more of my custom painted crankbaits! We left the house with the boat hooked up at 1:00 in the morning and got to the lake at 1:20, we fished till the sun came and about an hour after. In total we caught 13 largemouth each and all together 26 including one very nice rainbow trout that weighed 5.8 pounds!! Now to talk about what we caught them on:8 of mine came on jigs two different colors first jig was black/chart./brown the other jig was black and red with a pork chunk. Another 4 of my fish came on a fish head spin and the last one came off of a 6" baitsmith swimbait. 9 of my dad's fish came on the fish head spin and 3 came on a brown jig. The last one of his fish came off of a 6" huddleston rainbow trout swimbait. The majority of the fish came from 18-29 feet of water with maybe 2 or 3 coming from like 10 feet.

Check back in soon for another of my posts!

Tight lines!!Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-9957780418499652622010-12-12T23:10:00.000-08:002010-12-12T23:22:16.534-08:00December 12, 2010<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPCfm3ZdBWJWn4rw69Rb8I9xXc6Amn71IJo9kVUkm82nGyVEgeHCbNx4VttQ0BprAprh8jo3RjBGgC8O07yTUW30mWN7gxNSh_6CQ_7AtkoIfwxVXRnUGQItTXankdJtKvvZuHsMz0iWW2/s320/Photo12121341.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5550063807495396946" />
Today I decided to go on down to some local ponds right before I left I hand tied a brown and black living rubber jig. Got to the pond and decided to just cast the jig the whole time since it is winter. With in the first 20 I caught the only fish of the day, on the black and brown jig with a brown uncle Josh pork chunk. I wasn't huge but I would guess between 2 and 2.4 pounds, put up a great fight! Get out to your local pond/lake and catch some winter bass! Total we caught 7 fish and had 12 bites all together. The fish head spin caught 5 of the fish including the biggest which was around 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 pounds. Then one on each a jig and a flick shake 5in senko. The fish were holding a about 23-28 feet of water and all you had to do was parallel the bank and painfully slowly move the fish head spin on the bottom. The trick that I did to my fish head spin which was the one that caught all the fish was change the normal willow blade it comes with to a smaller colorado style blade. The advantage of this blade over the willow leaf was that I could reel it much slower then with the willow blade (the slower you could move it the better).Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-67279589662033346762010-11-28T21:23:00.000-08:002010-11-28T21:34:49.812-08:00November 28, 2010<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIewjZSyO2cXTXyO3ySE78r4sqFoOfZ0vFVniLkgxpK-xwTkXgLEwsogK3SOxEk-5zGwlGjkMLQ6cbbpMuujLjrs-rZ54Hb51cBSPy4Ba7tjtefE_Z8hAWtQifKr94pR3kHvgsCbwUkeah/s320/1128101146-00.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544840861734601394" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyujCN0xaSB9wCKQ6SIYQGjBKChZUXE2zJCDr7OVBKtXmnp0OPsxvJQeSuqHv9we-aJuHL8CEr-kDG2UWXH2rFZudfUmy2a-HAhlm1uylaTSPuzbZu5QdezOcT3BHh_5Itt1zudJRmaxHT/s320/1128101144-00.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544840841903094578" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmpUes74DbpV72H-E2AxXPZ-4vwm14uT8uq9iO5e3VR5D-v52Duz04s1vRV2ovI56SFR1W21bWPNl-43lqGDjh0Ry2YQYiROAybRycMF_OTZBby6s0uNddjA-nvQ81ZP2OmkQt0FHoloYU/s320/1128101143-00.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544840828419049186" />
Following up on my post from yesterday about my new Shimano Cumara. My dad and I went out fishing, some more winter time bass. We caught 15 fish today, 5 of the fish came on brown craw colored hand tied jigs, 4 others came on a fish head spin with a zoom fat albert grub as a trailer, the other 6 of our fish came off of a darter head with a six inch morning dawn colored robo worm. The bigger fish went for the fish head spin even though all together it got less bites, I ended up loosing a 4 pounder at the boat while trying to lip it. The Shimano Cumara was the rod that I used to catch all of the fish on the darter head, this is one of the most sensitive spinning rods that i have ever used and even though it has a good fast tip you can still power down on the fish and pull him in. I would recommend this rod to anyone that is looking for a new spinning rod for senkos, tubes, drop shots, or darter heads. Check back in for my next post most likely will be up in a week.Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-21497183074270602652010-11-27T20:29:00.000-08:002010-11-27T20:35:15.755-08:00New Shimano CumaraJust got a new Shimano Cumara spinning rod 7' 2" medium action. Going out fishing tomorow morning with my dad. I have a darter head tied on the new rod hopefully i will get to catch a giant on it. This rod is super light and feels like it is going to be a winner. I will check back in tomorow with picture of how we do.Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-1813715292649581862010-11-21T19:11:00.000-08:002010-11-21T19:26:06.870-08:00Early Winter bass fishing<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjT5rW9HImZTpreKwbfYbjuZz7wX7W_W0w17KA0uYo0xz6zSR07NCkgLtKd9TEhrsBUk9bdtwAVCXSP_sNLRqZKl3otuonIxKcD_oDOSeGu-8Zcn2yT3K5pARD_3VfgnbzEqSKLwRVKrN60/s320/1121101322-00.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5542210021378949778" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfhsal78WErqVcLw___IXvl33WhalkS0id9TXn10voXki_GrIuM6YcebCSNJgWKBVQ8dba1yq0SRBFq14pOJ_-c7QbA0VSNM_fL8UMGFVaE_FBeelvXLb1pwYgtPJOceTu8ClFPMaDEIXi/s320/1121101439-00.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5542210006600946738" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWOEmzzl7oirRtio4-23tQAUg0iprMKYNILYOO4sPCLHy6jddf4bHdgsEqXCIFK3q98Taq19u_NbLw6MVL0Bcok92IWNr6tM4VCwX8tMGc6BedpsdIA4_jooTHxMQ5Z_B8qS8U__INBvme/s320/1121101440-01.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5542210000953597458" />
Decided to go fishing last night and set my alarm to 5 o'clock, woke up the in the morning and the clock said 8:30! The alarm was never turned on... Well for the fishing my Dad and I caught a total of 21 largemouth bass. Most of our fish came on brown and watermelon colored jigs, but the bigger ones came off of shad colored spinnerbaits my spinnerbait was a revenge double willow leaf and my dad's was a stike king willow colorado mix. Our biggest five fish would have gone some where between 17-17 1/2 pounds, our biggest was a 5.3 and then a 3.8 both caught by my one and only dad. Over all this is one of the best days in winter that I have ever had.Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-84486196635783057312010-03-25T21:53:00.001-07:002010-03-25T21:56:56.183-07:00Clear Lake March 2010<img style="cursor:pointer; Most of the fish were caught on shaky headed senkos or on some sort of senko rig. Biggest one was pushing three pounds and most were about 2 and a quarter. Caught seven a peice and we both had a decent 5 bass bag. I had a 10.5 and my dad had 9.4 each had a decent bag but I managed to pull aboard some quality fish.Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-30141893629717261842010-01-16T18:37:00.000-08:002010-01-16T18:49:01.301-08:00Table rock private lake<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 256px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWsvxQKpoFVT0GXmUKtqhm0spg4EFSyisLEO1PIafckGEEgz9pNAlv_QJw8H6cAxZ1vWs43YeppA9hv1J6QQEWENi2tYGf_xYZYq0vyEL6LF7lxXQwhi_6rX9f4FeyBApO8xS3n4O4bB-B/s320/01-16-10_1558.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427535237429435474" />
My Dad and I went out to my friends private lake today, it is filled with bass, they are tough to catch this time of the year but we managed to pull out 8 largemouth bass. I caught 5 of them on watermelon and green pumpkin colored senkoes. My Dad caught his three fish, one on a drop shot with a basstrix cut tail minnow and 2 on a brown colored hula grub. the fishing was considerably good and was beter then we expected it to be like. The fish were holding on drop offs in about 15 to 18 feet of water.Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-50064069416002533512009-12-06T18:32:00.000-08:002009-12-06T18:34:45.126-08:00Emigrant Winter 2009<img style="float:left; The water temperature was 51 degrees and the air temp. was 36 degrees. I managed to catch 3 smallies, 2 were on sexy shad colored series five crankbaits, and I caught one on a small dropshoted worm. They were all keepers but nothing to brag about. We met up with a few friends out on the water and they had caught 7 or 8 small smallmouth.Jacob Wall Bassfishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15042826109806956302noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1718132575411592073.post-13035604980533149612009-11-08T17:52:00.000-08:002009-11-08T18:01:09.735-08:00Emigrant Lake, Ashland OR.My Dad and I went to Emigrant lake this last Saturday(11-7-09).
